Cook Security Group ( Oregon's 100 Best Companies to Work for is accepting resumes for a Full-Time Security Technical Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, professional attitude and appearance, and be able to communicate effectively with both customers and team-members.

Duties Include:

  1. Act as key interface between account manager and potential/current customers to best sell and understand access control, alarm and video installations and requirements.
  2. Primary technician that provides tech support to customers and technicians, as needed.
  3. Organize installation jobs to be installed with drawing and diagrams.
  4. Pre-stage equipment and provide tech support to installation team.
  5. Train end users.
  6. Tests all installed/serviced equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance per customers requirements.
  7. Communicates important project status information to management as necessary.
  8. Communicates with customers on job status or completion.
  9. Conducts site surveys upon request of management.
  10. Completes and turns in all required paperwork in a timely manner according to established procedures and deadlines.
  11. Expected to solicit new business when not working on installations.
  12. Expected to travel for up to a week if necessary. Maintains and controls assigned truck in an organized manner.
  13. Maintains control, and safeguards, all company or customer property or information of which employee has been entrusted.
  14. Keeps assigned vehicle clean inside and out.
  15. Coordinates and ensures vehicle is maintained according to established standards.
  16. Maintains clean driving record and operates company vehicles using safe driving practice.
  17. Responsible for training less experienced employees and trainees on company procedures, systems, and techniques.
  18. Ensures all work is performed to company quality standards and practices.


  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor degree preferred
  • Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Highly recommended: Lenel Master Certification, Network + Certification, Video Certifications on most commonly used systems, Bosch and DMP Certification
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment
  • Available Mon-Fri 8am-5pm and evening hours as required. This position may require travel of up to one week.
  • Maintains clean driving record and operates company vehicles using safe driving practice.
